Show in two acts with a ten minute intermission
Run time ~80 minutes
Please take a moment to silence your mobile devices and disable the flash. These distractions may scare away the creatures that live here.
For your safety and ours, we ask that you please do not move from your seat during the performance, especially underneath the net. There will be a brief intermission where you will be able to stretch your wings.
We acknowledge the land we stand on is the ancestral homeland of the Lenape people, who were violently displaced as a result of European settler colonialism over the course of 400 years. The Lenape are a diasporic people that remain closely connected with this land and are its rightful stewards.
We recognize the struggle of indigenous people everywhere and invite you to participate in the protection the earth where we live, the trees, animals, and ecosystems that in turn support us all.

The MAP Fund
Juanita and Ryan were selected as grantees part of the 2024 MAP Fund’s final cohort. We would like to thank them for this incredible investment in the creation of new performance work, and we mourn the loss of this grant that has served as a springboard for us and so many other performance works around the country since 2017. While they no longer award grants, they continue to operate a scaffolding for performing artists (SPA) program. Learn more about the organization here: https://mapfund.org/
CIRCUS ACADEMY NEW YORK
Circus Academy New York in its first year has proven a bold new vision for the direction of the school that includes an ever-broadening repertoire of circus disciplines, performances, and a vibrant community that gathers around love of circus arts. We are humbled by the the incredible generosity that we have been given from the school by way of access, support, and materials. Without this support, we would never be able to produce work at this scale or ambition, and for that we are forever grateful. We are so excited to present our work here and are so excited for the future of the space as it welcomes more performances and students alike. https://www.circusacademy.com/
Collaborators
We would also like to thank our past collaborators on THE VOID and its related predecessor projects, this show could not exist without you!
Victor Ayala, Jillian Hollis, Johnny Horrible, Matt Roper, Lucrecia Novoa, Billie D’atri, Scott Jackson, Nicki Miller, DJ Dropkat, 3AM Theatre’s Logan Kerr and Kyle Driggs.
Coach LUCY
Lucille Fox has been a faithful coach, cheerleader, and collaborator for this entire process. She has been present for nearly all of the rehearsals, as well as a studio assistant for much of the costume and puppet fabrication. We depend on her supportive presence and unconditional sweetness to make the work that we do.
You!
Last and certainly not least, thank you for coming!
